Libelium is a Spanish technology company founded in 2006 as a spin-off from the University of Zaragoza. Specialising in Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, Libelium designs and manufactures devices that enable real-time monitoring of environmental and urban variables in sectors such as sustainability, smart cities and precision agriculture.
One of his specialities deals with the Smart cities. A smart city is one that uses advanced technology, such as sensors, IoT, artificial intelligence and data analytics, to improve urban services, make more efficient use of resources and raise the quality of life of its inhabitants.
Among the benefits of the so-called ‘smart cities’, we find that of improving the life of citizens in terms of the fluid movement of citizens in terms of transport or the capacity of avenues that are usually crowded.
For this purpose, it makes use of the iris360 tool, which allows real-time data counting.
